CTIC Executive Director Ryan Heiniger participated in the 2025 Regenerative Agriculture Science & Policy Forum in Allston, Mass. The Forum is co-hosted by Indigo Ag and the Harvard Data Science Initiative (HDSI).

This cross-sector event brought together about 100 thought leaders from farming, ranching, academia, industry, and government to address one of agriculture’s biggest challenges: connecting real-world, field-level data with cutting-edge data science to scale regenerative practices and climate impact.

Under Chatham House Rules, participants explored:

  • Innovations in measurement and modeling
  • The future of soil carbon markets and Scope 3 programs
  • Remote sensing, permanence, and practice detection
  • The importance of co-designing systems with producers at the center
