CTIC Board Approves 3-Year Strategic Plan, Elects New Officers and Directors

The Conservation Technology Information Center (CTIC) is pleased to share the election of our new board officers — a leadership team poised to guide the organization’s strategic vision and further its mission to accelerate adoption of sustainable agricultural and conservation practices. These officers, elected by their peers on the CTIC Board of Directors, represent a broad coalition of expertise from industry, academia, and conservation partners.

The new board begins its tenure in March: 

  • Chair: Kellis Moss, Ducks Unlimited
    Leads the Board’s strategic oversight and partnership engagement.
  • Vice Chair: Mary Fales, M.S., The Nature Conservancy
    Supports the Chair and advances board governance initiatives.
  • Treasurer: Mark McConnell, Ph.D., Mississippi State University
    Oversees financial stewardship and fiduciary responsibilities.
  • Past Chair: Adam Herges, M.S., The Mosaic Company

CTIC’s board brings together leaders from agriculture, conservation, research, and industry to ensure the organization remains responsive, credible, and farmer-focused. Alongside the election of new officers, CTIC’s members reinforced the board’s depth of expertise and perspective with the reelection of Indigo Ag represented by A.J. Kumar, Ph.D., The Fertilizer Institute represented by Leanna Nigon, Ph.D., The Nature Conservancy represented by Mary Fales, M.S., Syngenta represented by Mary Sutton Carruthers, M.S., and Nutrien Ag Solutions represented by Sky Hoffman. The members also welcomed back member organization Bayer CropScience represented by Chelsey Robinson, M.S. on the boardand it welcomed Craig Ficenec, M.S., to the board to represent Sand County Foundation.

In addition to electing new leadership, the board approved a new multi-year Strategic Plan, guiding the organization’s work through August 2028. The plan affirms CTIC’s role as a trusted, science-based convener and catalyst for conservation adoption, with a strong emphasis on partnerships, data-driven insights, and on-the-ground implementation that delivers measurable outcomes for farmers and the environment.
