We build coalitions that connect farmers, agribusinesses, researchers and policymakers to share information, take a closer look at issues and demonstrate systems.

CTIC Conservation Connector Helps Producers Discover Local Programs and Technical Assistance All In One Place
We're working to bring clarity and accessibility to conservation programs by creating a one-stop shop for farmers, ranchers and advisers. The CTIC Conservation Connector, now in development, is bringing conservation programs and local technical assistance to producers on a single platform.
Conservation Starts Here
There's nothing else like it. The Conservation Connector directory allows users to search programs by crop, conservation practice, and geography, allowing producers to find local programs that fit their operation, and more importantly, connect with local contacts for technical support and guidance to help them be successful.
We're bringing awareness to a fragmented ecosystem and helping farmers access the historic funding and diversity of programs in the marketplace by making the Conservation Connector as complete and robust as possible.
Raise the visibility of your programs by creating a free listing in the portal. Simply register or log in, then select Manage Programs or Manage Providers to enter or update your information.
Your participation will help build trust and clarity in conservation agriculture by allowing farmers to easily find, understand and evaluate programs and services in one place.
More about the project and its partners:
The Conservation Technology Information Center is leading the development of the CTIC Conservation Connector in partnership with The Nature Conservancy, Houston Engineering and Wolfe Neck Center/OpenTEAM. It is a key element of a new project selected in September 2022 for funding by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Partnerships for Climate Smart Commodities program. The Walton Family Foundation is also contributing to the project.
The CTIC Conservation Connector will allow producers, landowners, and trusted advisors to find programs and service providers who can help plan and implement voluntary conservation ag practices.
The CTIC Conservation Connector will bring many benefits to producers, allowing them to find buyers for their climate-smart commodities, to find other programs to support adoption of conservation practices, and to find service providers to help implement them. Additional CTIC Conservation Connector capabilities, including the ability to automatically tap MMRV resources, are planned as later phases of the overall OpenTEAM project.
With almost 500 programs and service providers already populated, we’re building out the database with additional projects and service providers. We’re happy to help or answer any questions you might have while populating your free listing. Connect with us at connector@ctic.org to learn more, schedule a time to meet, or get help with your free listing.
The CTIC Conservation Connector is supported by a subaward on a federal grant funded by USDA under agreement number NR233A750004G032, a project led by OpenTEAM as an initiative of Wolfe’s Neck Center for Agriculture and the Environment. Support is also being received from the Walton Family Foundation and The Nature Conservancy. USDA is an equal opportunity provider, employer, and lender.
CTIC is leading a new effort to pilot a phosphorus load reduction market in the Western Lake Erie Basin (Maumee, Sandusky, and Cedar-Portage watersheds, see map). Growers within the indicated watersheds are now being sought to
participate in this pilot market.
